Occupational Therapist Assistant Certified (COTA)- FT

A regional referral hospital known for clinical excellence Conemaugh Memorial is home to the highest level of care designations for Neonatal Care (Level 3) and Trauma Care (Level 1). Conemaugh Memorial has received recognition by the American Heart Association with the Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award. Conemaugh Memorial is proudly committed to being a teaching hospital including seven medical residency programs School of Nursing and Allied Health education programs.

Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center has 537 inpatient behavioral health rehabilitation and transitional care beds.

How youll contribute:

ACertified Occupational Assistant (COTA)who excels in this role:

  • Communicate patient progress or problems to supervisor and other team members; instruct patients family or nursing staff in follow-through programs

  • Assist with patient scheduling and post charges daily to patient records

  • Document patient care in accordance with regulatory licensing payer and accrediting requirements

  • Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition

  • Handle job responsibilities in accordance with the standards of the Companys Code of Business Conduct the Corporate Compliance Agreement appropriate professional standards and applicable state/federal laws

  • Other duties as assigned

    What were looking for

  • Candidates must have certification from the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA)

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program culminating in an Associates degree

  • Current and valid state OTA license or certificate of practice or equivalent in the states where services are rendered

  • CPR certification (when required)
