Maintenance Officer / Driver

Full Time (35 hours) Up to 27000

Our client is looking for a Maintenance Officer / Driver to join their team. This role combines the practical side of facilities and building maintenance with the rewarding responsibility of driving and supporting service users on trips visits and appointments.

As a Maintenance Officer you will be responsible for keeping the service safe welcoming and well looked after. From carrying out essential repairs and safety checks to making sure service users can travel comfortably and confidently this is a role where your skills make a real difference every day.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work takes pride in problem-solving and values being part of a supportive environment. Whether youre maintaining the site to high standards or helping service users access the wider community no two days will be the same.

What Were Looking For

  • Previous experience in maintenance facilities or a similar role
  • Knowledge of HSE regulations and safe working practices
  • PAT testing knowledge
  • Experience with TMVs (thermostatic mixing valves) and working at height desirable
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
  • Good communication skills and a positive flexible attitude

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out general maintenance and repairs to ensure the site operates smoothly and safely
  • Support planned and preventative maintenance including PAT testing TMVs and working at height tasks
  • Respond to day-to-day maintenance requests efficiently and professionally
  • Drive service vehicles to transport service users to trips visits and appointments
  • Ensure health safety and compliance standards are met across the site
  • Work closely with colleagues to maintain a safe welcoming and well-presented environment
