Lake Region Union High School Job Description: Varsity Softball Head Coach Position Title: Varsity Head Coach Reports to: Athletic Director and School Principal Location: Lake Region Union High School Orleans VT Employment Type: Seasonal/Contractual Sport: Position Summary:Lake Region Union High School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Varsity Head Coach to lead and manage our high school varsity Softball program. The ideal candidate will be committed to the growth and development of student-athletes promoting sportsmanship academic achievement and teamwork. This role involves planning and overseeing practices developing game strategies and fostering a positive and inclusive team Responsibilities:Provide leadership and direction for all aspects of the varsity organize and conduct effective team practices and training student-athletes during all team-related and model sportsmanship discipline teamwork and academic academic progress of athletes and support their educational assistant coaching staff and collaborate with JV and middle school programs to support overall program open and respectful communication with athletes parents faculty and the athletic team logistics including game scheduling equipment uniforms and transportation needs in coordination with the Athletic compliance with school district and Vermont Principals Association (VPA) athletic policies and CPR/First Aid certification and attend required coaching clinics and :Required:High school diploma or equivalent; bachelors degree coaching experience at the high school level or knowledge of the sports rules techniques and safety communication leadership and organizational to serve as a positive role model for :Vermont coaching certification or ability to obtain in education or youth working with student-athletes in an academic :Stipend based on OCSU Master Agreement please refer to page 27 of the CBA for range - position; specific terms to be discussed during the hiring Process:Interested candidates should submit the following:Cover letterResumeList of three professional referencesAny relevant certificationsPlease send materials to Athletic Directors: James Ingalls email: and Chris Wentworth email: .
