Job Description
Ashley Hall is seeking a dedicated enthusiastic and team-oriented individual to serve as the Varsity Soccer Assistant Head Coach. The Assistant Coach will support the Head Varsity Soccer Coach in developing a positive competitive and educational soccer experience that reflects the schools mission of empowering young women through athletics. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical knowledge of the game a passion for mentoring student-athletes and the ability to contribute to a cohesive and supportive coaching staff.

Major Responsibilities
The most competitive candidates will offer the following qualifications and qualities:
Coaching & Player Development: Assist the Head Varsity Coach in planning and conducting high-quality practices focused on skill development teamwork and tactical understanding. Provide individualized feedback and encouragement to players to promote growth confidence and a lifelong love for the game. Support player development and advancement within the Varsity program collaborating closely with the entire soccer coaching staff to ensure consistency and alignment. Emphasize sportsmanship discipline and respect in all aspects of team participation.
Game Preparation & Management: Assist with warm-ups substitutions and sideline communication during matches. Help analyze team and individual performance to inform coaching adjustments and player improvement. Ensure players are prepared for competition both physically and mentally reinforcing a positive composed and competitive team environment.
Collaboration & Communication: Work collaboratively with the Head Varsity Coach and the Athletics Department to align the soccer programs philosophy and goals. Maintain open and supportive communication with student-athletes parents and school staff. Partner with athletic trainers and strength coaches to promote athlete health safety and conditioning.
Program Operations & Administration: Assist with equipment setup uniform distribution and collection and field preparation. Help manage team logistics including attendance practice setup and travel coordination when applicable. Uphold all school and league policies related to eligibility conduct and sportsmanship.
Athlete Mentorship & Leadership: Serve as a positive role model for student-athletes by reinforcing leadership accountability and teamwork. Encourage players to pursue excellence in the classroom and on the field while promoting perseverance and respect.
Key Requirements
1-3 years of soccer coaching or playing experience (high school club or collegiate level preferred).
Strong understanding of soccer fundamentals training principles and player development appropriate for high school athletes.
Positive role model with excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a coaching team.
Availability for afternoon practices evening games and occasional weekends throughout the season.
U.S. Soccer Grassroots or higher-level coaching license preferred.
Additional Requirements
Current or ability to attain CPR certification upon hire.
Completion of all required Ashley Hall and SCISA paperwork.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of background check reference checks and medical requirements.

In Season - 5-6 days of practice and Games
