About our College
Marist-Sion College provides a quality education in the Catholic tradition for the young people of Warragul and surrounding districts. Situated on one campus of 46 acres catering for 1146 students. About the Role
Marist Sion College has a friendly professional team of staff who provide a supportive work culture and a positive and inspiring work environment. We are an inclusive inviting and team orientated workplace with modern teaching facilities and up-to-date technology. We are currently seeking teachers for the following subjects in 2026:
- VCE English and English Language
- VCE Business Management and Legal Studies
- Religious Education
- Food Studies
- Mathematics
- Science
The successful applicant will be a registered teacher with the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Planning and implementing a range of teaching programs.
- Monitoring evaluating and reporting student progress in key learning areas.
- Implementing strategies to achieve targets related to student learning outcomes.
- Teaching an area of the curriculum to a specific year level.
- Monitoring evaluating and reporting on student progress in key learning areas.
- Implementing strategies to achieve targets related to student learning outcomes.
- Implementing effective student management consistent with the College strategic plan.
- Supervising a range of activities including support and welfare programs.
- Modeling exemplary classroom practice and mentoring or coaching other teachers in the College to engage in critical reflection on their practice and to support staff in expanding their capacity.
- Assisting staff in using student data to inform teaching approaches that enable targets related to improving student learning outcomes to be achieved.
