The Senior Director Cornerstone Programs plays a critical leadership role in overseeing multiple NYCHA-based Cornerstone sites ensuring high-quality year-round programming for youth adults and families. This position provides strategic direction programmatic oversight and operational support while aligning services with ESHs mission and contract obligations.
This role comes with a $7000 annual stipend contingent upon the continued availability of program funding. If funding is reduced or discontinued the employees salary will revert to the prior base rate.
Under the supervision of the Department Director the Senior Director Cornerstone Programs will:
Provide strategic leadership for multiple Cornerstone community center sites ensuring alignment with ESHs mission and contract expectations.
Supervise and support Program Directors fostering leadership development program excellence and operational consistency across all sites.
Lead strategic planning for cross-site coordination program expansion and alignment with community needs including oversight of the Mott Haven Summer Teen Program.
Monitor program performance and ensure compliance with DYCD and DOH requirements including data reporting and evaluations.
Serve as primary liaison to DYCD NYCHA Resident Associations and other stakeholders.
Use data to drive continuous improvement efforts and ensure all program outcomes and deliverables are met.
Strengthen partnerships with local organizations and community leaders to enhance program offerings and outreach.
Support fundraising and development initiatives in collaboration with ESHs Development team.
Coordinate cross-site initiatives and support agency-wide events and projects.
Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

Bachelors degree required; Masters degree preferred.
At least 5 years of leadership experience in youth development education or community-based programs.
Prior experience managing city contracts especially DYCD strongly preferred.
Familiarity with NYCHA communities and local Bronx resources is a plus.
Experience with budget oversight program design and staff development.
Leadership & Supervision: Proven ability to manage multi-site teams and lead strategic initiatives.
Program Management: Strong project management compliance and reporting skills.
Community Engagement: Skilled at building relationships with diverse community stakeholders.
Data-Driven: Able to interpret data to improve services and meet performance benchmarks.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.
Cultural Competency: Commitment to equity and inclusion; able to lead in diverse settings.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of background checks and/or required clearances.
This position directly supervises Program Directors and other site-level leadership staff.
This role may involve occasional lifting or moving of items up to 25 pounds and routine use of standard office equipment. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
The typical work schedule includes the following:
Weekdays with flexibility for evening or weekend hours based on site programming needs.
Availability during summer months for extended programming and seasonal events.
Participation in agency-wide events meetings and cross-site activities as needed.
