This Position reports to:

Regional Manager SouthEast


B&R is seeking a highly-motivated Lead Sales Engineer for our East Region Team to be based in the Atlanta area. This role is responsible for driving sales in our automation products and services assists customers in resolving issues grows relationships and accounts and suggests technological improvements. The role often collaborates with engineers and sales support to understand requirements propose solutions and ensure successful sales outcomes.

The work model for this role is: #LI-Hybrid based out of our Alpharetta GA office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Grow sales of B&Rs complete product range by working on new and existing sales opportunities.
  • Lead account and opportunity acquisition strategy; uncover and manage deep understanding of customer teams and decision processes.
  • Lead highly technical value-proposition generation by understanding the unique needs of customer teams and aligning them with B&Rs offerings.
  • Cultivate important customer relationships through active engagement both in formal and informal interactions.
  • Build relationships with upper management at all Top Accounts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver presentations and demonstrations regarding products and services.
  • Identify define and develop the best technical solution and strategy for customer applications.
  • Lead in-depth technical presentations and discussions with the customers.
  • Secure orders and ensure timely delivery.
  • Own the Forecasting and Business Plan for your Territory.
  • Grow the customer share through the development and execution of an account plan that includes exceptional sales support as well as the introduction of new products and services.
  • Develop market intelligence and document this knowledge in B&Rs Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
  • Attend industry events and trade shows to network with potential customers and to represent B&R at these shows.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering or related discipline or equivalent experience
  • 7 years relevant experience consisting of sales/business development and proven technical knowledge of robotics programmable controls PLCs and automation systems
  • Ability to travel up to 50% mostly in the region with occasional other domestic and international travel; valid drivers license and passport required with no barriers to travel.
  • Ability to understand and explain complex technical products and solutions; Interested in the application of leading-edge technology across industries.
  • Effective interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Experience with machine motion control and programming experience highly preferred.
  • Possess work authorization to work permanently in the United States without sponsorship
