Job Description
Fitness Center Attendant
Provides customer service to fitness center patrons and assists with maintaining orderliness of gym.
Responsibilities:
- 40% Signs users into the center.
- 40% Maintains orderliness of weights making sure weights are in correct spots.
- 10% Cleans and sweeps the fitness center.
- 5% Washes towels and check out towels.
- 5% Performs other duties as needed or assigned.
- Demonstrates Viking Values of balance clarity gratitude service teamwork and trust.
- Complies with all laws and regulations related to higher education.
- Provides a professional courteous and friendly atmosphere to both internal and external customers.
- Arrives to work on time as scheduled.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
- No previous work experience required.
- Work normally involves contacts with persons beyond immediate associates generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion.
- Outside contacts take the form of service to the public (students faculty and staff) requiring ordinary courtesy in providing assistance and information.
- Good communication skills organization basic computer skills and knowledge and ability to provide excellent customer services.
