Required Qualifications

  • Active Kentucky registered nurse license or compact license with privileges to work in Kentucky
  • Associate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Minimum of two (2) years of RN experience in ICU
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) for RN Float Critical Care applicants only

  • Bachelors degree in nursing from an accredited college or university

Additional Job Description:

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. The Float Pool provides support to all of our inpatient units including intermediate cardiac surgical and a variety of other service lines. Float pool staffing provides a crucial service for our customers not only to ensure safe quality patient care but provides support for our unit colleagues as well. You will be offered opportunities to expand your knowledge and maintain an expansive skill set with a variety of patients throughout the facility that will enable you to become a resource to others.

The area of focus

  • Floating each shift to Intensive Care units & Complex Medical/Trauma units within the hospital
