The Boeing Companys Mobility Surveillance and Bombers (MS&B) team is looking for a Mid-Level Structures & Payloads Design Engineer to join the exciting KC-46 Structures Team based in Tukwila WA.

Position Responsibilities:

• Develops integrates and documents structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system design

• Develops maintains and modifies structural and interior payload system and component designs using 3D CAD tools and other design methods

• Provides product definition to other engineering groups production operations suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle

• Performs and integrates analytical and test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications

• Manages supplier development test and production activities; coordinates with suppliers to optimize design and achieve program goals

• Develops new design and analysis processes and tools to improve effectiveness quality and efficiency of the development effort

• Investigates emerging technologies and develops concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements

• Works under general direction

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology) chemistry physics mathematics data science or computer science

• 2 or more years experience in Structural Design and Analysis of Aerospace industry.

• 2 or more years of CATIA V5 experience

• Basic understanding of structural engineering fundamentals including airframe/component design and materials

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements a U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. U.S. Person includes U.S. Citizen lawful permanent resident refugee or asylee.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• 7 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

• 3 or more years of experience in Structural Design and Requirements for Modification and or Repairs on transport class aircrafts

• 2 or more years of Structural Design in supporting Manufacturing

• 2 or more years of experience with Design for Producibility / DFM/A and producibility trade-offs

• 1 or more years of GDT

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.
