Job Description

Salary will be $17.50 per hour


This is an as-needed position (not a full time position) to fill in during staff absence staff vacations and in times of high client census.


Work hours will be scheduled between 7:00 am to 5:30 pm Monday through Friday (on an as-needed basis)

With its play-based curriculum and inclusive approach to education for children who are neurodiverse or have other related disabilities our school represents a significant milestone in our community. The Substitute Teacher Staff are dedicated to providing essential support in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children. The Substitute Teacher Staff fill in during staff absence staff vacations and in times of high client census.

A snapshot of what youll do:

  • Provide a positive safe stimulating and inclusionary learning environment
  • Assist in implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities
  • Assist in recognizing adapting teaching strategies and addressing the individual needs of each child
  • Collaborate with the lead educator to maintain open and effective communication with parents and families

Qualifications:

  • National Early Childhood Credential (CDA/NECC)
  • Successful completion of the Florida Department of Children & Families 45-hour Child Care Training in early childhood education
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification
