The Opportunity

Were looking for a proactive and confident HR Advisor to join our London People Team at Brunswick. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a varied generalist role where youll be trusted to make a real impact from day one.

You will provide HR advice and support across London and when required more widely across the Group in an international context. With end-to-end responsibility for the employee lifecycle youll have the chance to work on everything from HR operations reward and performance and global mobility through to early careers programmes and inclusion initiatives.

This is a role for someone who enjoys variety problem-solving and building trusted relationships - where no two days look the same. Youll gain exposure to senior stakeholders and strategic projects while developing your expertise within a collaborative and ambitious People team.

About the Role

The HR Advisor will report into a Senior HR Manager and work closely with the Head of People London the other Senior HR Manager and the HR Coordinator. You will also collaborate with specialist HR teams Talent Acquisition Data & Systems Reward & Policy Learning & Development and the wider Global People teams.

Key Responsibilities

HR Advisory & Employee Relations

  • Provide advisory support to London teams with a particular focus on our client-handling Executives.
  • Advise colleagues on our policies performance wellbeing and procedural matters.
  • Coach and support colleagues to resolve sensitive issues and improve the employee experience and engagement.
  • Manage smaller employee relations cases independently and escalate complex matters appropriately.
  • Assist Senior HR Managers and leadership with workforce planning in core services practice groups and sector teams.

International Mobility & Secondments

  • Support the end-to-end process for secondments to London including proposals approvals and ongoing liaison.
  • Liaise with immigration lawyers tax advisors and payroll teams to ensure compliance and smooth experiences.
  • Oversee logistics such as visas relocation arrangements and reintegration following assignments.

Entry Careers

  • Support early careers initiatives including internships apprentice and executive-level recruitment.
  • Support rotations for Executives conducting check-in conversations at key milestones.
  • Work closely with mentors/leads to ensure a high-quality entry career employee experience.

Employee Lifecycle

  • Oversee the employee lifecycle process for London colleagues.
  • Ensure inductions new joiner check-ins and probation administration are delivered effectively.
  • Manage family leave processes and reintegration following return.
  • Oversee and support the HR Coordinator to ensure accuracy and timeliness of processes including payroll requirements.

Culture and Inclusion

  • Contribute to Brunswicks Culture and Inclusion initiatives including HR-specific actions.
  • Support engagement activities such as recognition team days wellbeing mental health awareness cultural events and continuous feedback.

Policies Systems & Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain accurate HR data in collaboration with the Global People Systems and Data team.
  • Support the review and improvement of HR policies balancing best practice with practical application.
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR right-to-work and accurate record-keeping requirements.
  • Support cyclical People projects such as benefits renewals remuneration appraisal and policy reviews.

What Were Looking For

  • CIPD qualification level 5 or above (or working towards).
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a HR generalist role with responsibility across the employee lifecycle.
  • Experience managing international mobility/secondments including working with immigration lawyers tax advisors and suppliers.
  • Experience in employee relations particularly in managing sensitive issues around performance wellbeing and personal circumstances.
  • Experience supporting entry careers recruitment and development programmes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
  • Highly organised solutions-focused and comfortable managing a varied workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong client-service mindset with the ability to anticipate needs and proactively provide solutions.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of HR systems (Sage People desirable).
