Greet patients and visitors with professionalism and compassion ensuring a positive experience.
Answer incoming calls and assist with inquiries while supporting clinical department needs.
Schedule appointments using computerized scheduling systems.
Verify insurance benefits and obtain precertification/authorization as needed.
Process patient payments including co-pays and deductibles and refer patients to financial counselors when appropriate.
Accurately collect and enter demographic billing and clinical information into the registration system in a timely manner.
Perform general clerical tasks to support the smooth delivery of patient care.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a healthcare or customer service setting preferred.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and a patient-focused approach.
Ability to work collaboratively with both clinical and administrative teams.
Familiarity with electronic scheduling and health record systems is a plus.
