This Position reports to:

Sustainability Program Manager


We are looking for a motivated and experienced Sustainability Manager to drive the implementation of ESG reporting on climate and environmental topics. This role is pivotal in shaping our external sustainability disclosures and driving operational excellence in collaboration with stakeholders from ABBs Business Areas Finance & Controlling and Sustainability.

This role will report to the Sustainability Program Lead for the Electrification Business Area.

Preferable location: Europe

The work model for the role is: #LI hybrid

Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Drive and ensure implementation of external reporting requirements for Group reporting topics hosted in the Electrification Business Area
  • Project management for CSRD implementation and ESG transformation of Climate and environmental reporting
  • Coordinate preparation of relevant sections of ABBs external Sustainability Report and lead the associated audit and assurance processes
  • Ensure alignment across a diverse stakeholder landscape including Finance Internal Controls Corporate Reporting Corporate Sustainability and the Business Areas
  • Lead strategic initiatives to elevate sustainability reporting and to close gaps integrating best practices from financial reporting standards
  • Support Business Area in review and implementation of emerging regulatory requirements

Qualifications for the role
  • Masters degree or higher in Business Administration Engineering or a related field ideally with focus on ESG or Sustainability
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in sustainability reporting audit carbon accounting or environmental compliance preferably in complex international organization
  • Knowledge of relevant reporting standards and frameworks for Climate and environmental topics (e.g. ESRS GRI SBTi GHG Protocol)
  • Excellent project management skills with a track record of delivering complex multi-stakeholder projects
  • Strong interest in regulatory and compliance topics with a proactive approach to staying current on evolving standards
  • Experience in managing organizational change and guiding teams through transitions
  • Self-driven and enthusiastic capable of independently driving initiatives from concept to execution
