Substance Use Disorder Services (SUD) provides structured individual and group addiction activities and are provided at an outpatient program designed to assist adult a time-limited multi-faceted approach treatment service for adultsto begin recovery and learn skills for recovery services are provided during day and evening hours to enable beneficiaries to maintain residence in their community continue to work or go to school and to be a part of their family life.
The role of the SUD Peer Support Specialist is to serve those individuals with SUD relating their own life experiences and who have been trained and certified to help others with these conditions as well as identifying and achieving specific life and recovery goals.

A Caring Alternative LLC is a CARF accredited service provider with facilities in Asheville Hickory Marion Statesville and Morganton NC. A Caring Alternative LLC is CABHA certified and a Trauma Informed Agency. We provide an array of services to Alexander Buncombe Burke Catawba Caldwell Iredell McDowell and Mitchell counties which consist of Assertive Community Treatment Team Community Support Team Day Treatment Integrated Care Intensive In-Home Medication Management Outpatient Therapy and Therapeutic Foster Care.
