ISP Chemestry and PhysicsTeacher Role Profile
Purpose of Role
The Chemistry and Physics Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in both subjects fostering curiosity analytical thinking and a strong foundation in scientific principles. The teacher inspires students to explore the natural world develop problem-solving skills and apply scientific knowledge in real-life contexts. This role contributes to students academic achievement and personal growth while ensuring alignment with the schools curriculum and educational philosophy.

ISP Administration Teacher Key Responsibilities
Plan prepare and deliver engaging lessons in Chemistry and Physics aligned with curriculum standards.
Teach scientific concepts such as matter energy chemical reactions motion forces and electricity.
Design laboratory experiments demonstrations and hands-on activities that enhance student learning.
Ensure laboratory safety by maintaining proper protocols and supervising the use of equipment and materials.
Assess record and report on student progress providing feedback and academic support.
Differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning needs and abilities.
Integrate technology digital tools and modern teaching methods to support effective learning.
Prepare students for internal assessments standardized exams and science competitions.
Encourage critical thinking inquiry and scientific reasoning in students.
Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and curriculum development.
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about student progress and goals.
Participate in staff meetings professional development and school events.
Ensure compliance with safeguarding health and safety regulations.
Skills Qualifications and Experience
Skills
Strong subject knowledge in Chemistry and Physics.
Excellent communication classroom management and organizational skills.
Ability to design engaging lessons and experiments that connect theory to practice.
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Patience adaptability and the ability to motivate students.
Strong commitment to student learning and well-being.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Chemistry Physics Science Education or a related field (Masters preferred).
Teaching certification or equivalent professional qualification.
Additional certifications in laboratory safety are an advantage.
Experience
Previous teaching experience in Chemistry and/or Physics at middle or high school level required.
Experience in managing science labs and experiments.
Background in curriculum development and interdisciplinary teaching is desirable.
