Career and Education Manager
Exempt
Salary: $75000
Scope of Position: The Career and Education Manager is directly responsible for the staff and service to customers. The manager sets the tone for the office and communicates with staff the expectations for quality service and expected accomplishments. Managers are the example of responsibility and accountability and work with supervisors in supporting staff in performing their duties.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate throughout every level of the Workforce Solutions system setting clear expectations and priorities for career and education staff
- Delegate and review the status of ongoing tasks to ensure expectations are being met
- Directly supervise and evaluate the performance of staff
- Ensure daily activities and tasks are aligned with the annual and long-term goals of the Workforce Solutions System and assist in setting short-term goals and objectives
- Empower employees to take responsibility for their jobs and goals and delegate responsibility ensuring accountability and regular feedback
- Plan evaluate and improve processes and procedures to enhance speed quality efficiency and results
- Ensure team leads understand implement and train staff on how to meet contract performance objectives
- Manage the overall operations and daily activities of the office including managing expenditures
- Maintain professional technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and training courses and establishing personal and professional networks
- Maintain compliance with internal Human Resources policies and procedures equal opportunity and nondiscrimination provisions
- Identify internal staffing needs conduct interviews and make hiring and termination recommendations
- Evaluate and recommend personnel actions including salary increases bonuses and improvement plans
- Ensure staff accurately determine eligibility for and award Workforce Solutions financial aid equitably and according to priority guidelines

Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and 510 years of relevant leadership experience
- Should have skills and experience in providing career development assistance
- A working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Must have experience in a team-oriented environment
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record required
