Job Description
Fahrenheit Advisors is assisting our client Riverstone Group in the search for a Technology Manager. This position is based in Richmond Virginia and is full-time onsite at their offices downtown supporting a staff of around 30 employees. They are second-generation family-owned enterprise with seven distinct operating businesses a growing real estate portfolio and a global investment platform. With deep community roots and a focus on long-term stewardship we value trust responsibility and continuous improvement. As technology becomes more critical to our daily operations and future growth we are seeking an experienced Technology Manager to help our teams work smarter safer and more efficiently.
Position Overview
The Technology Manager will lead all aspects of technology across our corporate headquarters including hardware software cybersecurity support and systems integration. This hands-on role is responsible for supporting productivity accuracy and secure operations across diverse industries and locations. This is an opportunity to modernize unify and secure our technology infrastructure while respecting legacy systems and the familys values.
Key Responsibilities:
Technology Support & Efficiency
- Evaluate and improve business applications systems and workflows for productivity.
- Provide day-to-day technology support to teams across multiple companies and real estate functions. Work with employees to utilize technology to improve productivity and quality.
- Standardize devices networks and software across the enterprise where appropriate.
Cybersecurity & Risk Management
- Implement and monitor cybersecurity policies and tools (antivirus firewalls backups).
- Lead employee training and awareness programs for safe technology practices.
- Oversee regular audits threat detection and recovery protocols.
Systems Management & Integration
- Maintain and improve the performance of hardware software and network infrastructure.
- Coordinate software updates licensing and vendor management.
- Help evaluate and implement systems for accounting finance HR property management and operations.
Strategic Planning & Continuity
- Create and maintain documentation of systems passwords and procedures.
- Advise leadership on technology investments trends and opportunities.
- Work with employees to prepare and deploy AI tools effectively.
Qualifications
- 5 years of progressive IT experience ideally in a multi-entity or professional services office.
- Demonstrated experience with cybersecurity practices and tools.
- Comfortable supporting a range of users from tech-savvy to tech-hesitant.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Familiarity with software tools used in finance real estate or investments a plus.
- Able to work independently and prioritize needs across multiple companies.
