About the Client and amp; Role
Our client is a fast-growing fintech SaaS company serving enterprise and mid-market customers across the US. They are seeking a Head of Product to own product strategy roadmap execution and the management of a high-performing product team. This role will drive innovation across core fintech offerings while ensuring compliance scalability and a seamless customer experience. The Head of Product will work cross-functionally with engineering design compliance sales and operations teams to deliver secure user-centric financial products.
Responsibilities
- Define and own the long-term product vision and multi-year roadmap with quarterly goals and measurable outcomes.
- Take full accountability for product metrics including acquisition activation conversion retention revenue growth and customer satisfaction.
- Lead the discovery and delivery cycles end-to-end including validation experimentation and go-to-market readiness.
- Hire coach and grow a team of Product Managers setting a clear framework for ownership and accountability.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering leadership on priorities resourcing and trade-off decisions.
- Ensure all product initiatives are compliant with key financial regulations and standards (KYC/AML OFAC PCI DSS SOC 2 GLBA Reg E/Z FFIEC).
- Oversee API product strategy ensuring robust standards for integrations and partner ecosystems.
- Establish experimentation frameworks and measurement practices (A/B testing feature flags guardrail metrics).
- Manage product budgets and business cases presenting results and strategic updates to the executive team and board.
- Implement strong data governance practices in collaboration with security and analytics teams.
- Support go-to-market execution in partnership with Sales Marketing and Customer Success teams including pricing packaging and enablement.
Expected Outcomes in the First 12 Months
- A consolidated product portfolio aligned with customer segments and growth objectives.
- Two to three successful product launches with measurable impact on revenue or margin.
- Reduced time-to-value and improved onboarding metrics across customer journeys.
- Standardized product operating rhythm (OKRs roadmap reviews post-mortems experiment reviews).
- Reliable real-time product dashboards with well-defined metrics and ownership.
- Fully compliant product operations with clear auditability and incident response protocols.
Required Qualifications
- 10 years in product management with at least 4 years in leadership roles within B2B/B2B2C SaaS.
- Proven track record of scaling fintech products in areas such as payments (ACH RTP FedNow card processing) lending risk/fraud onboarding/KYC/AML or core banking systems.
- Deep understanding of financial regulatory and security standards and their practical application to product design.
- Strong discovery and validation skills (customer research JTBD pricing experiments segmentation).
- Data-driven decision-maker with hands-on experience in SQL and analytics platforms (Amplitude Mixpanel Looker GA4).
- Experience engaging directly with executive stakeholders boards and enterprise clients.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to simplify complex decisions into clear actionable documentation.
- Track record of delivering products in environments requiring high reliability scalability and auditability..
Preferred Experience
- Exposure to banking-as-a-service sponsor banks or financial processors.
- Knowledge of real-time payments treasury operations and settlement flows.
- Collaboration with data science teams on fraud/risk modeling.
- Experience with enterprise go-to-market cycles including RFP/RFI InfoSec reviews and SLA commitments.
- Participation in SOC 2 or ISO 27001 audits.
- Leading international product expansion initiatives.
