Job Summary

Our client is a specialist in timber and cane transport delivering these essential goods safely and efficiently across Southern Africa.

Role: Workshop Foreman:
Location: Richards Bay
Industry: Logistics and Supply Chain

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Workshop Foreman to lead our busy mechanical workshop.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge excellent leadership skills and the ability to manage a team of mechanics efficiently.

Qualifications:

Trade Test / Red Seal qualification would be advantageous Diesel Mechanics)
Minimum 5 years experience in a workshop environment
At least 2 years in a leadership/supervisory role
Strong diagnostic and technical skills
Valid drivers license (Code B or higher)
Excellent communication and people management skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Clear criminal record

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise day-to-day operations of the workshop
Allocate work and manage job flow
Perform quality checks on completed work
Assist with diagnostics and complex repairs
Liaise with customers and provide job estimates
Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
Maintain productivity and efficiency in the workshop
Requirements:
Trade Test / Red Seal qualification would be advantageous (Motor Mechanic/Diesel Mechanics)
Minimum 5 years experience in a workshop environment
At least 2 years in a leadership/supervisory role
Strong diagnostic and technical skills
Valid drivers license (Code B or higher)
Excellent communication and people management skills
