Commonwealth Preschool Partnership Initiative (CPPI) Grant Manager INTERNAL CANDIDATES ONLY SY 2025-2026
Overview:
Salem Public Schools in partnership with 5 community-based organizations is the recipient of the CPPI grant in the amount of $1000000. This grant issued by the Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) requires that the district assign a .5 FTE grant manager.
Roles & Responsibilities:
General Duties:
- Collaborate with district school and partner leaders
- Support implementation of the districts early childhood plan/goals and the Salem PreK Partnership strategic plan
- Disseminate relevant information to the proper agencies including district staff subcontracted partners and grant funded programs
- Attend EEC trainings and meetings and act as the point person to EEC for grant-funded activities
- Update any changes to the Contact Information sheet in EECs online grant application
- Support grant reporting requirements
- Serve as point person for data collection
Grant Compliance & Monitoring:
- Track and monitor implementation of grant priorities
- Assist with timely submission of required reports and compliance with all grant deadlines
- Coordinate with stakeholders (district and partners) to ensure seamless implementation of the grant
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:
- Act as co-point person (in collaboration with Deputy Superintendent) to EEC and facilitate communication with partners
- Co-plan and co-facilitate the strategic leadership and operational leadership teams
- Coordinate family engagement initiatives and outreach in collaboration with the early education City Connects Coordinators and special education partners
- Strengthen the partnership with the Coordinated Family and Community Engagement Director and Parent Child Manager
- Support implementation systems for screening childrens development and health ensuring a clear referral process that engages families and staff
Qualifications & Time Commitment:
- Must have 5-7 years experience in early childhood education
- Must have a deep understanding of the CPPI RFP and implementation of grant requirements
- Must commit 2 days/week to grant coordinator activities and coach in CPPI classrooms 3 days/week
- Must commit up to 10 additional hours/week after regular work day Sept. 1-Aug. 31 (37 weeks)
Compensation:
- Up to $15000 paid in 3 installments (Dec. 15 June 15 August 31)
- Timesheets submitted documenting time
