Program Quality & Curriculum
Implement and refine engaging developmentally appropriate lessons for before/after school and summer programs.
Maintain licensing standards; keep sites organized safe and well-documented.
Behavior Leadership
Model proactive behavior strategies; coach staff in positive guidance and incident reporting.
Partner with families and school personnel to support student success.
People Leadership
Recruit interview and hire Kids Club staff; coordinate onboarding and ongoing training.
Schedule supervise and mentor Program Assistants; run site staff meetings.
Operations & Partnerships
Maintain program and child files per YSS policy and DHS licensing.
Coordinate program logistics community resources and special activities.
Support student recruitment and registration; greet and support parents/guardians.

Education: Bachelors in Child Development Education or related field.
Credentials/Training (required): DHS childcare requirements; CPR/First Aid Universal Precautions DHS Essentials Training Mandatory Reporter.
Experience: 2 years in youth work (K6) including 1 year with supervisory responsibilities.
Skills: Strong planning/organization clear communication (written & verbal) collaborative mindset resource/time management and critical thinking/problem solving.
Tools: Comfortable with computers databases Microsoft Office web/video conferencing.
Other: Valid Iowa drivers license; light local travel between sites.
