Purpose

Implement goals and objectives of children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or related diagnoses in the CUBS classroom and in-home ABA program under the supervision of the CUBS BCBA and in accordance with their service plan and Department of Behavioral Health and Recovery addition the lead CBT will set the standard for CBTs be the primary mentor and trainer of new CBT hires and coordinate with CUBS manager to implement changes to process and procedures.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

  • Provide highly intensive behavioral support and program implementation under the supervision of a BCBA to children diagnosed with ASD or related diagnoses within the CUBS classrooms at both the Bothell and Bellevue locations.
  • Implement ABA strategies and deliver programs designed by the BCBA to children.
  • Record data on goals and objectives and graph daily.
  • Maintain accurate records for each child.
  • Participate in weekly team meetings to ensure collaboration and continuity of care between ABA Speech and Occupational therapy providers.
  • Ensure compliance with BACB and DOH requirements under supervision of the BCBAs.
  • Assist with classroom set-up clean up maintain and prepare classroom supplies/equipment. Record attendance and complete session notes daily.
  • Maintain kitchen in clean order; maintain kitchen supplies; compile shopping lists for snack and do some classroom laundry.
  • Comply with Kinderings policies and procedures including Kinderings Behavioral Health Policy and Procedures Manual.
  • Foster an environment that celebrates neurodiversity and respects people of all backgrounds and abilities.
  • Mentor and train new CBT hires.
  • Set the standard for the CBT skill development plan
  • Meet on a regular basis with the CUBS Manager to ensure that there is continuity within the program across both campuses.
  • Implement process and procedure changes for CBTs across campuses.

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience

  • Experience as a CUBS CBT for at least one year preferred

  • Current CBT license from Washington State Department of health

  • Has demonstrated sufficient knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and developmental milestones for children under 3

Minimum Prerequisites

  • Ability to work independently and efficiently with the expectation that they would be able to train new staff members to meet the standard.
  • Demonstrates punctuality in all facets of job (staff meetings home visits team meetings)
  • Demonstrates computer skills necessary to independently complete the duties of a CBT and train others
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and coworkers
  • Pass Washington State DSHS criminal history and background check and FBI fingerprint check
  • Possess valid Washington State drivers license and valid automobile insurance
  • Have access to dependable vehicle
  • Be able to lift 40 pounds (average three-year-old)
  • Pass tuberculosis test
  • Have current first aid and CPR certification or obtain within 1 week of hire.
