Tech III Float Driver
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for driving towing guiding and supporting Parade Floats.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Safely drive float units weighing more than 26001 lbs. Safely maneuver obstacles both backstage and onstage. Adhere to predetermined driving locations paths and speeds while maintaining communication and direction.
- As needed assist with towing other float units driving backstage and onstage loading and unloading of characters and guests. Assist with props and technical systems readiness.
- Operate technical equipment such as on-board show control communications audio lighting video and special effects.
- Provide logging of technical performance/show quality detailed examples for maintenance personnel. Performing small projects and modifications to systems as directed by UO Management.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy procedures training and team member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
SCOPE:
- Safely drive float units weighing more than 26001lbs.
- Safely maneuver obstacles both backstage and onstage.
EDUCATION:
- High school degree or GED is required.
EXPERIENCE:
- Proven ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Preferred 2-4 years previous customer/guest interaction experience.
- Preferred experience driving large vehicles steering other than a standard circular steering wheel.
- Preferred experience using audio lighting and special effects equipment.
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATIONS LICENSES REGISTRATIONS:
- Valid Drivers License is required.
Tech IV Float Driver
