Burrow Global is seeking to hire an experienced Category Manager for Plant Services. The incumbent is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies that optimize value ensure operational continuity and support long-term business objectives. This role manages supplier relationships drives cost efficiency and partners with stakeholders across Engineering Operations and Finance to deliver high-impact procurement outcomes in plant services and capital projects.
Daily duties will include:
Category Strategy & Management
- Develop and implement category strategies for Plant Services and CAPEX aligned with business objectives and market trends.
- Conduct category analysis including spend supplier base market intelligence and risk assessments.
- Drive strategic sourcing initiatives that deliver cost savings quality improvements and risk mitigation.
- Support capital projects through early involvement in FEL (Front-End Loading) stages providing commercial and supplier insights.
Supplier & Contract Management
- Identify qualify and develop suppliers to build a competitive and sustainable supply base.
- Lead contract negotiations ensuring favorable terms compliance and risk management.
- Manage supplier performance including KPIs service levels and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Organize Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and Root Cause Analyses (RCAs).
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with Engineering Operations Maintenance Finance and Project Management to understand business requirements.
- Provide procurement guidance and commercial leadership for capital equipment construction services and plant maintenance contracts.
- Influence stakeholders to drive adherence to procurement policies and strategic sourcing initiatives.
Value Delivery & Governance
- Deliver measurable savings cost avoidance and value creation in line with annual procurement targets.
- Ensure compliance with corporate governance legal and ethical standards in all sourcing activities.
- Maintain accurate records of sourcing activities contracts and supplier performance in procurement systems.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelors degree in supply chain Engineering Business or related field (Masters preferred).
- 10 years of experience in procurement category management or sourcing preferably in the petrochemical or refinery industries.
- Proven track record in managing CAPEX and plant services categories (construction maintenance repair facilities management utilities EHS engineering services etc.).
- Strong negotiation contract management and supplier relationship management skills.
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to interpret market data cost drivers and financial models.
- Skilled in using ERP/procurement systems (SAP/Ariba or equivalent).
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills with ability to influence cross-functional teams.
