About Enterprise Architecture:

Enterprise Architecture is an organization at American Express and it is a key enabler of the companys technology strategy. The four pillars of Enterprise Architecture include:

1. Architecture as Code: this pillar owns and operates foundational technologies that are leveraged by engineering teams across the enterprise.
2. Architecture as Design: this pillar includes the solution and technical design for transformation programs and business critical projects which need architectural guidance and support.
3. Governance: this pillar is responsible for defining technical standards and developing innovative tools that automate controls to ensure compliance.
4. Colleague Enablement: this pillar is focused on colleague development recognition training and enterprise outreach.

Software Development:

• Mid-level ability in software development such as coding assignments
• Function as member of an agile team by contributing to software builds through consistent development practices (tools common components and documentation)
• Participate in code reviews and automated testing
• Debug basic software components and identify code defects for remediation
• Enable the deployment support and monitoring of software across test integration and production environments
• Automate deployments in test or production environments
• Automatically scale applications based on demand projections Leadership
• Demonstrate increased self-reliance to achieve team goals
• Influence team members with creative changes and improvements by challenging status quo and demonstrating risk taking

Qualifications External Minimum requirements:

Minimum of 6 years of software development experience in a professional environment and/or comparable experience such as:

• Familiar with Agile or other rapid application development methods
• Experience with design and coding in Java and across one or more platforms and additional languages as appropriate
• Experience withstreaming technologies such as Apache Spark Kafka Flink Beam and Scala as a programming language preferred
• UI experience using React Node a plus
• Backend experience including Apache Cassandra and relational databases such as Oracle PostgreSQL a plus
• Hands-on expertise with application design software development and automated testing.
• Experience with distributed (multi-tiered) systems algorithms and relational and No-SQL databases
• Confirmed experience with object-oriented design and coding with variety of languages
• Experience in managing and delivering applications and services using a cloud computing model across Public Private and Hybrid Cloud environments.
• Experience with GCP Dataproc Pubsub and Bigtable is a plus
• Bachelors degree in computer science computer science engineering or related experience required advanced degree preferred

Salary Range: $85000.00 to $150000.00 annually bonus benefits
