Avid Core is seeking an Communications Assistant with strong attention to detail and administrative experience to support a federal government client in Washington D.C. Were looking for a detailed oriented organized person interested in supporting a federal law enforcement agency.
The position is onsite at the Avid Core office or client site in Washington DC with the option for telework.

Salary Range:
$45000-$55000 based on experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities:
- Plan coordinate and execute mass mailing for real estate and environmental planning efforts for large infrastructure projects
- Maintain and update mailing lists and databases ensuring accuracy of contact information and compliance
- Track and maintain certified mailings
- Prepare bulk mailings including stuffing envelopes applying postage and coordinating with federal agency mail service
- Design and format stakeholder letters using office Microsoft Office
- Conduct mail merges
- Track mailings and maintain records of delivery rates returns and responses
- Coordinate with agency vendors for printing services bulk postage rates and mailing equipment maintenance
- Attend stakeholder meetings draft after action reports and track action items as needed
- Schedule appointments meetings and conference rooms
- Prepare correspondence reports and presentations using Microsoft Office Suite
- Maintain filing systems both physical and electronic ensuring documents are organized and easily accessible
- Coordinate travel arrangements including flights hotels and ground transportation
- Assist with meeting preparation including room setup materials preparation and catering coordination
- Support communications and outreach efforts including the development of presentations talking points and key messages
- Create and maintain spreadsheets for tracking various administrative metrics
- Archive documents and records according to agency records management policies
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Skills:
- One (1) year of administrative executive assistant or program assistant experience supporting the federal government
- Strong ability to manage multiple tasks
- Proficiency with the full Microsoft suite (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook Teams and SharePoint)
- Exceptional editing and data analysis skills to ensure deliverables submitted to the client for final approval are error-free
- Experience with WebEx Zoom and other virtual meeting platforms
- Experience with mass mailing desired
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to obtain a public trust security clearance

This is an onsite position with the option for telework. The candidate must be able to commute to the client location to the Avid Core office or client site in Washington D.C. Up to 25% of travel may be required.
