Location: Carl Vinson VA Medical Center Dublin GA
Schedule: Tuesday Friday (8:00 AM 4:30 PM) some Saturdays (8:00 AM 12:00 PM)
Employment Type: Full-Time Onsite

Job Summary

Veterans Engineering is seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join the Dental Service team at the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center in Dublin GA. This position offers the opportunity to provide both clinical and administrative support while directly impacting the oral health and well-being of our nations Veterans.

Working under the general supervision of the Dental Chief or designee the Dental Assistant will support a wide range of dental procedures and ensure that all care meets or exceeds the nationally recognized standards of the American Dental Association.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide chair-side assistance for general and specialty dental procedures including restorative prosthodontic and surgical.

  • Prepare treatment rooms and instruments to ensure readiness for patient care.

  • Retract tissue suction and pass instruments during procedures.

  • Capture and process digital radiographs with accuracy and efficiency.

  • Strictly adhere to infection control protocols in compliance with Carl Vinson VA guidelines.

  • Follow all VA regulations related to patient privacy and safety.

  • Provide excellent service to Veterans visitors and staff with professionalism respect and courtesy.

Requirements
  • Prior experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting.

  • Proficiency with digital radiographs.

  • Familiarity with dental instruments procedures and chair-side support.

  • Knowledge of infection control and safety standards.

  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.

  • Commitment to serving Veterans with compassion and professionalism.
