Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our this role you will take ownership of designing implementing and optimizing complex data center and enterprise network environments that support mission-critical services for our clients. You will serve as a subject matter expert providing technical leadership across projects guiding junior engineers and ensuring that Cloud5s network architecture meets the highest standards of performance reliability and security.

Responsibilities:

Lead the design deployment and lifecycle management of enterprise and data center network infrastructure with a strong emphasis on Juniper-based environments EVPN/VXLAN overlays and spine-leaf architectures.
Architect scalable and secure network solutions to support business growth high availability and multi-site operations.
Drive automation initiatives using Python Ansible and vendor-specific orchestration tools to streamline network provisioning configuration management and monitoring.
Implement best practices for network reliability proactive monitoring performance tuning and incident response to minimize downtime and mitigate risks.
Serve as a technical mentor providing guidance training and escalation support for junior engineers and operations staff.
Conduct in-depth network assessments capacity planning and optimization for data center and cloud interconnect environments.
Partner with IT Security and Operations teams to deliver integrated solutions aligned with organizational goals and compliance standards.
Develop maintain and enforce network documentation policies standards and procedures.
Research evaluate and introduce emerging technologies to enhance resiliency security and operational efficiency.
Participate in and often lead major incident response root cause analysis and remediation planning.
Provide senior-level input into strategic infrastructure roadmaps vendor management and budget recommendations.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field; equivalent experience considered.
7 years of progressive experience in network engineering with at least 3 years in a senior or lead capacity.
Deep expertise in data center networking technologies including Juniper platforms EVPN VXLAN spine-leaf architectures and multi-tenant network designs.
Expert-level knowledge of core networking protocols such as TCP/IP BGP OSPF MPLS VLANs and QoS.
Hands-on experience with enterprise and carrier-class networking hardware and software from Juniper (preferred) Cisco Palo Alto Networks FortiGate Aruba and Ruckus.
Strong background in network security including firewalls IDS/IPS VPN technologies and best practices for zero-trust environments.
Proven experience designing and supporting cloud and hybrid network environments (AWS Azure or GCP preferred).
Practical experience with network automation using Python Ansible and vendor-specific orchestration or automation platforms.
Advanced proficiency with monitoring logging and packet analysis tools for deep troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects manage priorities and influence infrastructure strategy.
Excellent problem-solving communication and leadership skills.
Industry certifications such as JNCIP JNCIE CCNP CCIE or equivalent senior-level credentials strongly preferred.
