The Transport Buyer Specialist is responsible for supporting the procurement and management of transport services ensuring cost-effectiveness compliance and alignment with internal procedures. The role involves close collaboration with carriers internal stakeholders and the finance team. Key activities include:
- Support in the selection and onboarding of transport providers
- Management and analysis of transport tariffs
- Preparation negotiation and administration of transport contracts
- Creation and management of purchase orders in SAP
- Participation in customer tenders and preparation of transport quotations
- Network analysis to support route optimization and pricing strategies
- Collaboration with the invoicing team for pre-invoice validation
- Data consistency checks across systems and documentation
Qualifications :
- Bac 5 en gnie industriel et logistique
- 3 to 5 years of experience
- Knowledge of transport and logistics processes
- Familiarity with procurement or supplier management practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools
- Experience with SAP particularly in purchase order management
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and external partners
- Fluency in Italian and English (written and spoken)
