Our Regional Managers supervise a team of Territory Managers who interact face to face with our customers to understand their needs and consult to offer the right solutions. The Regional Manager works collaboratively with the Sales Director to manage a regional expense budget a regional sales quota and oversees the development of the Territory Manager team. Candidate needs to be located in the Great Lakes section (Ohio/Michigan/Indiana/Illinois) of the United States. Relocation will be provided to the selected candidates.

This position will supervise a team of Territory Managers whose primary customers include Dairy and Beef cattle production operations Veterinary Practices Resellers and Animal Health Distribution Networks. Position will be responsible for coaching and developing the team with emphasis on strategic planning and enhancing the business relationships between our companys Animal Health and our customer base. The candidate will be expected to develop and maintain relationships with key decision makers within the regional geography.

Essential Accountabilities:

  • Manages trains coaches and provides leadership to a sales team; works to build a cohesive team by hiring and making appropriate career development recommendations for the team to the Sales Director. Provides ongoing coaching and feedback; conducts formal and informal performance reviews and manages employee relation issues with the team.

  • Recognizes employee success and opportunities and communicates to the team providing constructive feedback.

  • Proficient at problem solving and conflict.

  • Coordinates all sales efforts within the assigned region. Maintains knowledge of key customers in all sales territories. Prepares and implements a comprehensive region business plan ensuring consistent product program implementation and sales goal attainment.

  • Make recommendations for sales coverage distribution utilization of Tech Services outside consultants and all other factors affecting sales volume within the region.

  • Communicate to Sales Director information from Territory Managers regarding customer sales potential product sales potential etc.

  • Helps plan make arrangements for and execute regional sales meetings required to optimize sales effort.

  • Keep our Company Animal Health management informed of competitive activities industry trends etc.

  • Assist the Sales Director in developing marketing plans business and sales plans and all other factors affecting sales volume within the region.

  • Attend conventions handle exhibits and plan for booth employee coverage for conventions within the sales region.

  • Coordinate Tech Service needs within the region to optimize sales.

  • Manage expenses for the region to stay within budgetary guidelines.

Scope and Context:

This position will supervise a team of 7-8 direct reports who are responsible for revenues in excess of $40M

Position Qualifications:

Education Minimum Requirement:

Must have a Bachelors degree (Animal Science Agribusiness Marketing or Business degrees preferred)

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Must have a minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience with at least 5 years sales experience.

  • Must have a solid understanding of the agriculture industry

  • Will be expected to offer a high level of proficiency and demonstrate success regarding:

o Technical Product & Market Knowledge.

o Territory & Business Management.

o Selling Skills

o Leadership and team building

  • Position requires strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent presentation and analytical skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word Excel PowerPoint.

  • Must have demonstrated ability in public speaking to small and large audiences.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

Marketing People Management and/or Strategic Account Management.

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

The salary range for this role is

$139600.00 - $219700.00

This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employees position within the salary range will be based on several factors including but not limited to relevant education qualifications certifications experience skills geographic location government requirements and business or organizational needs.

The successful candidate will be eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive if applicable.
