Job Duties
Virginia Military Institute Athletics an NCAA Division I member and member of the MAAC is seeking an Assistant Water Polo Coach.
The successful candidate will:
Assist in organizing and directing all phases of the Water Polo Program.
Recruit and evaluate potential student-athletes.
Coordinate team travel arrangements.
Design and implement training programs focused on athlete development injury prevention and performance enhancement
Collaborate with coaching staff athletic department and VMI administration to support student athlete academic progress and personal development
Minimum Qualifications
Must have a minimum of a Bachelors degree as well as coaching experience.
Must posses a valid drivers license
Demonstrated success in training mentoring and developing student-athletes
Proven track record in recruiting and retaining quality student-athletes
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative approach to working with staff
Additional Considerations
Some (generally two (2) years) of College coaching experience
Work well within a team environment and meet deadlines while balancing multiple tasks.
