It rolled out globally across Latin America and the Caribbean in 2021 followed by its first European launches in the Nordics and Spain later that May 2023 Warner Bros. Discovery introduced Max an enhanced streaming platform in the U.S. HBO Max is currently available in 46 countries and there are plans for the continued global expansion of Max in 2024.
Your New Role
HBO Max is preparing to launch in the Italian market and we are looking for a Communication Specialist to join our team initially on a one year fixed term contract. This role reports directly to the Director of Communications and will be instrumental in supporting and executing the platforms launch and the ongoing communication strategy in Italy.
Your Role Accountabilities
- Support the development and implementation of PR strategies for HBO Maxs Italian launch and long-term presence.
- Draft and localize press materials including press releases Q&As backgrounders and media alerts.
- Monitor media coverage and support in reporting analysis and internal communication updates.
- Manage media lists coordinate press outreach and oversee logistics for press events.
- Support and lead talent liaison activities for local original productions including during events festivals and awards.
- Coordinate with local and international PR agencies and stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging and aligned timelines.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience in communications or press office roles ideally in entertainment media or tech.
- Strong knowledge of the Italian media and entertainment landscape.
- Experience working in international environments.
- Excellent writing and editing skills in both Italian and English.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Passion for entertainment media and streaming culture.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities.
- Team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach.
