Position Summary The Safety Coordinator will continue to play a hands-on role in ensuring Oats Overnights workplace and food safety standards are consistently met in our manufacturing and production environment. Reporting to the Safety Manager the Coordinator supports day-to-day safety operations by conducting inspections and JHAs training employees documenting incidents and ensuring compliance with company policies OSHA regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment is detail-oriented and enjoys working closely with employees at all levels to promote a culture of safety.
Key Responsibilities - Implement and maintain safety programs and procedures established by the Safety Manager.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities equipment and work areas to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety and food standards.
- Deliver safety orientation training to new hires and ongoing refresher training to existing employees.
- Documents and report incidents accidents and near-misses; assist in investigations and corrective action implementation.
- Partner with HR to support Workers Compensation requirements paperwork and employee follow-up.
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee safety concerns; escalate issues to the Safety Manager when needed.
- Maintain accurate safety records inspection logs and training documentation.
- Promote day-to-day safety awareness and communicate updates reminders and best practices to employees.
- Support compliance with OSHA FDA and GMP regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support safety initiatives and business needs.
What Youve Done And Who You Are
- 25 years of experience in a manufacturing production or industrial safety role.
- Associates degree in a relevant field preferred but equivalent experience considered.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills; detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Effective communication and training skills to engage employees at all levels.
- Proficiency in Google Suite (Sheets Docs Slides Gmail).
- Knowledge of OSHA food safety and GMP regulations is a plus.
- Ability to work independently while supporting broader safety team initiatives.

Physical Requirements
- Must be able to work near food ingredients with exposure to food allergens.
- Ability to lift 15-25lbs occasionally up to 50lbs seldom.
- Extended periods of standing and walking in manufacturing/warehouse environments.
- Occasional desk/computer work for documentation and reporting.
