Job Description

We are recruiting for a Purchasing administrator for a long established manufacturer in Lymington Hampshire.

The position is on a fixed term contract for 6 months with the flexibility to extend.

Hours: This will be a full-time role Mon-Fri 08:00-16:00 with a half hour unpaid break.

Salary: up to 30000 per annum depending on experience

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Purchasing Administrator will assist in the purchasing of raw materials and packaging materials as needed to meet customer requirements and conform to our inventory management policies.

PRIMARY DUTIES

Highlight any bottlenecks and communicate any shortages throughout the business.
Create purchase requisitions and purchase orders for raw materials and packaging in alignment with system parameters and analysis.
Use SAP and MRP to manage inventory levels of raw materials and packaging consistent with sourcing and operational guidelines.
Collaborate with the Central Sourcing department on market consultation or information about suppliers and estimated demands as well as the introduction of new materials/suppliers.
Establish and maintain a good relationship with all suppliers.
Check supplier order acknowledgements


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Confident SAP user.
Experience in a purchasing or materials management role in a manufacturing environment.
Have an understanding of Operational Supply Chain and Distribution Processes.
Experience working with a supplier base.
Excellent computer skills (Excel Word)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Good team worker
Demonstrates proficiency in the following competencies:
- Ability to organize workload determine priorities and establish and monitor deadlines.
- Work with minimum supervision
- Strong analytical and planning skills
- Ability to work with and influence colleagues from different functions and levels.
- Strong attention to details. Decisions directly impact customer service and company revenue.
