| Job Description: | Student employees for this position must: - Be a current UF degree seeking student registered at a minimum of 6 credit hours per semester
- Available to work up to 20 hours per week
- Respond to and assist with emergency situations and building evacuations per department procedures or as instructed by building management staff
- Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a high level of professionalism
- Demonstrate a desire and willingness to learn in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
- Establish an exemplary work ethic by being proactive self-motivated and dependable
- Participate in all scheduled meetings trainings and evaluations
- Act as an ambassador for all areas within the Reitz Union as well as the University of Florida providing accurate information and campus resources
Position Specific Responsibilities: - Assist in developing scheduling and communicating employee events including the Student Employee All-Staff Kickoff Student Employee Appreciation Week and the annual Banquet
- Create and implement professional development opportunities for student employees and full-time staff
- Assist with Student Employee Incentive Program including reviewing form submissions and updating tracking document
- Maintain inventory and distribute student employee uniform items including polo shirts pullovers and nametags
- Track and ensure compliance for university-mandated/department trainings for student employees and full-time staff
- Create and maintain up-to-date training resources for the department including a training policy/manual
- Contribute to the creation and distribution of monthly newsletters to student employees and full-time staff as well as the semesterly newsletter to Reitz Union alumni through MailChimp
- Assist with computer literacy program for full-time staff teaching the basics and functions of using a computer
- Present to incoming student employees on general information relevant to being a student employee at the Reitz Union
- Attend biweekly Student Council meetings
- Other duties as assigned

| Minimum Requirements: | This position is open to all students who are eligible to work on campus and will be employed through Other Personnel Services (OPS) or Federal Work-Study (FWS) and must maintain a 2.0 grade point average. Registered students are employed on a part-time basis up to 20 hours per week. |

| Preferred Qualifications: | Although no experience is necessary to apply to Reitz Union and all training will be provided we would prefer for all student employees within the Reitz Union to: - Available to work up to 20 hours per week spread across 4 to 5 workdays
- Be proficient in Microsoft excel and basic software applications
- Previous experience working in an office environment
- Planning and organization skills
- Proficient with verbal and written communication
- Ability to handle multiple tasks or projects simultaneously
- Work as part of a team
