Description

The Industrial Engineering/ Design Co-Op will support the engineering and production teams by focusing on administrative and data management tasks. This role is essential for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of manufacturing processes through the creation and maintenance of vital documentation and data.

Expand your technical and professional skills in a real-world setting. Emerson co-ops are given meaningful work support and mentorship from experienced managers and key business leaders.

In this Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Conduct ergonomic assessments of manufacturing processes and implement improvements to promote workplace safety and efficiency
  • Design update functional tools to aid in assembly and manufacturing
  • Create and manage UX/UI interfaces using Microsoft power APPS
  • Create video work instructions and training information
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production quality and engineering to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Ensure that all tasks and documentation comply with industry standards and company policies.

For This Role You Will Need:
  • Pursuing a bachelors degree in Mechanical Industrial or Quality Engineering or Industrial Design
  • Ability to work 40 hours a week during the scheduled semester
  • Legal Authorization to work in the United States Sponsorship will not be provided for this role
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
  • Pursuing a bachelors degree in Industrial Design
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint
  • Experience with 3D CAD software
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Analytical mindset for resolving issues
  • High attention to detail for accurate documentation
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and work independently

Work Schedule:
The typicalwork schedule is 7:00 am - 3:30 pm (with a 30-minute lunch) to mirror the hours of manufacturing operations but can work with the successful candidate to ensure optimal work-life balance.
