Job Summary

Classification Title:	Clinical Research Coordinator I
Job Description:	The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Florida is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic individual to coordinate research for multiple projects related to Type 1 Diabetes. This individual will work in a team setting and under the supervision of the Principal Investigators. Job duties include coordinating project planning recruiting study participants collecting data and assisting with written reports and presentations related to the project. This individual will communicate with faculty and staff as well as other internal and external constituencies. The individual will be responsible for assigned research studies and will be expected to work with minimal supervision. Knowledge of type 1 diabetes management and type 1 diabetes technologies (ie. CGM and Pump) preferred. Conduct Clinical Research Study: Selects and recruits study participants to enroll in various studies and protocols; participates in the informed consent process of study subjects; supports the safety of clinical research patients/research participants; coordinates protocol-related research procedures study visits and follow-up care; screens completes case report forms (paper & electronic data capture) and addresses queries. Schedules and participates in sponsored research monitoring visits and QA audits; ensures the integrity and quality of the research protocol is maintained and the trial is conducted in accordance with GCP guidelines; attends UF-IRB 01 full board meetings as necessary. Administrative Responsibilities: Maintains and creates study source documents and electronic databases; reports adverse events; understands Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and regulatory compliance; educates subjects and family on protocols study interventions study drugs etc.; complies with institutional policies standard operating procedures (SOPs) and guidelines. Prepares and submits documents related to research protocols to both internal (UF-IRB UF-CTC office UF-OCR etc.) and external (FDA WIRB etc.) organizations as required; completes end-of-study procedures. Support Clinic Based Research: This position will perform ad hoc assignments as assigned by the Supervisor.
Expected Salary:	$45000 - 49000 annually; commensurate based on qualifications and experience.
Minimum Requirements:	Associates degree or an allied health professional degree in an appropriate area and one year of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:	Bachelors degree in an appropriate area; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency with Word Excel SPSS or other statistical software Web navigation tools and programs and general computer functioning Strong written and verbal communication IRB/Regulatory experience Some knowledge about Type 1 Diabetes including pump and CGM Ability to work independently and ability to collaborate with faculty and staff at multiple levels
