RT Industries in Troy OH is looking to hire a full-time Facilities Manager to coordinate schedule and supervise a variety of janitorial and groundskeeping jobs while also supporting a small crew of people with developmental disabilities. This facilities manager position earns a competitive wage of $21.60-$25.92 per hour depending on experience. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FACILITIES MANAGER

As a Facilities Manager you play a vital role in supporting the people that we serve as you work alongside them. You will coordinate and supervises all aspects of janitorial & groundskeeping functions related to the 110 Foss Way facility and the ODOT Rest Areas for which RT holds the contract. You manage the janitorial and groundskeeping jobs that our persons served have the opportunity to work on. You monitor your crew providing your expertise and support when necessary. As well as coordinates schedules personnel and supervises all aspects of designate off-site mobile work crew janitorial & groundskeeping contracts. With your strong interpersonal skills you also manage business relationships with our customers. As our expert on all things maintenance you address routine needs for the building and company addition you respond to any building alarms and mechanical the case that there are major maintenance needs you are quick to report the issues to the Employment & Facilities Director.

You manage a variety of administrative tasks such as monitoring monthly billing for jobs and turning in paperwork receipts packing slips expense reports quotes maintenance requests inspect drill forms rental agreements and bills to the Employment & Facilities Director in a timely manner. You also manage a budget and order the necessary supplies for jobs while managing scheduling time cards and payroll. As a Safety Committee chair you will perform both routine and periodic safety inspections and ensures all facility equipment/systems meet requirements. QUALIFICATIONS FOR A FACILITIES MANAGER- Please see attached Job/Position Description

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Ohio drivers license with less than 6 points on driving record
  • 2 years of experience in building and equipment maintenance as well as a knowledge about building codes and regulations
  • Basic understanding of computer applications such as Word Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening upon hire
  • Satisfactory Abuser registry web-checks and BCI as defined in OAC 5123:2-2-02
  • Communicates effectively in written and oral form

Experience working with people with developmental disabilities or in a supervisory janitorial or groundskeeping role would be a plus! WORK SCHEDULE FOR A FACILITIES SUPERVISOR

This position is full-time and typically works weekdays during first shift with an hour-long lunch break. Occasionally there will be a need for work during nighttime and weekend hours.
