Job Description
A well-established player in the transport and logistics industry is looking for an experienced Transport Manager to oversee national operations and lead a growing team.
Your key responsibilities:
- Manage and optimize transport operations including route planning subcontractor fleet allocation and cost control.
- Supervise LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) processes ensuring safe and efficient cargo space usage.
- Coordinate customs-related shipments with customs agencies.
- Ensure effective use and maintenance of contract vehicles.
- Lead and motivate your team delegating tasks and fostering strong performance.
- Build long-term relationships with subcontractors negotiate with contractors and collaborate with sales and international forwarding teams.
What we expect:
- Higher education in economics transport logistics business management or engineering.
- Several years of experience in logistics/transport management including at least 2 years in team leadership.
- Strong knowledge of the forwarding industry and Polish distribution networks.
- Proven ability in budgeting problem-solving and decision-making under pressure.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Good knowledge of transport IT systems (TMS telematics).
- Initiative reliability and attention to detail.
- English proficiency is an advantage.
