What will your responsibilities be
- Lead kitchen staff and coordinate food orders
- Supervise food preparation and cooking
- Check plating and food temperature
- Follow technical sheets for recipes
- Prepare staff work schedules and shifts
- Control food waste
- Place orders for food supplies and kitchen equipment when needed
- Train kitchen staff on preparation tasks and plating techniques
- Store food following safety practices (e.g. in refrigerators)
- Review weekly and monthly cost reports with the restaurant manager
- Maintain health and safety standards in the kitchen area
What are we looking for
- 3 to 5 years of experience
- Level 2 food handling certification
