Job Summary:
This Medical Assistant position is a temporary role with the potential for permanent placement in an outpatient cardiology clinic. The Medical Assistant will provide clinical and administrative support to the healthcare team utilizing electronic health records (Epic). Experience in healthcare healthcare terminology and Epic is required.
Location: Olympia Washington United States
Responsibilities:
- Assisting physicians and nurses with patient care.
- Obtaining patient medical history and vital signs.
- Administering medications as directed.
- Preparing patients for examinations and procedures.
- Performing basic laboratory tests.
- Maintaining patient records.
- Scheduling appointments.
- Answering phones and handling patient inquiries.
- Sterilizing and preparing medical instruments.
- Assisting with other clinical and administrative tasks as needed.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) certification.
- Current BLS certification.
- Experience in healthcare healthcare terminology and Epic.
- Reliable transportation.
- High school diploma or equivalent (implied).
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Prior experience in adult outpatient clinics.
- Experience with vents/trachs/PICC lines.
- Two years of experience in direct patient care.
Special Considerations:
- This is a temporary position with the potential for permanent placement.
- Local candidates are preferred (50-mile radius).
- On-call duties are not required.
- Weekend work is not required.
- The candidate must be available for three specified interview times.
- RTO restrictions should be confirmed with the hiring manager.
Scheduling:
