Job Description
Willakenzie Animal Clinic is seeking a Certified Veterinary Technician to join our busy 6-doctor practice in Eugene Oregon. We currently have 5 CVTs on staff and are looking to add one more! We have recently upgraded to a brand-new state-of-the-art facility to serve the community.
Experienced and New Grads encouraged to apply!
- Starting Salary: $25 28 per hour depending on experience education certifications and licensure
- Additional Benefits: Continuing education allowance of $600 per year License reimbursement Scrub allowance Discounted Pet Care
- Location: 1745 Coburg Rd Eugene OR 97401
- Schedule: 4 days per week 9 9.5 hours per day rotating Saturday coverage (minimum 1/2 day once per month)

Who you are:
- Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT) in Oregon required
- Degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program required
- Experience as a veterinary technician or assistant in a veterinary clinical setting minimum 2 years required
- Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
- Passion for working with animals and their owners
- Experience with proper animal handling and restraint Fear Free preferred
- Understand the importance of excellent communication and organizational skills
- Obtain accurate and thorough medical histories
- Perform basic exam procedures
- Skilled in venipuncture and Intravenous (IV) catheter placement (cephalic saphenous and jugular)
- Able to perform digital radiology (X-ray) including positioning
- Perform complete dental procedures including digital x-rays scaling polishing charting
- Confident with general anesthesia and surgical assisting (induction intubation monitoring aseptic technique recovery)
- Perform medical math accurately calculate draw up and administer drugs
- Laboratory skills including microscope (ear and fecal cytology); automated in-house machines
- Excellent client communication/education
- Ability to perform Technician appointments independently including accurate medical record documentation
