Job Description
Position Title: Pediatric Surgical/Operating Room Tech
Location: Syracuse NY 13215
Type: Contract Local or Travel Flexible Shifts
Pay: $50$54/hr ($1800$2000 weekly)
We are seeking an experienced Surgical/Operating Room Tech to join the Pediatric OR team. This role supports a variety of pediatric and adult surgical cases in a high-acuity trauma care setting. The ideal candidate has strong scrub experience excellent teamwork and the ability to work independently in fast-paced environments.
Responsibilities:
Prepare ORs sterilize and set up instruments/equipment.
Scrub in pass instruments and maintain sterile field.
Support cases: Ortho General Surgery ENT Vascular GYN Neuro Trauma Bariatric GU.
Maintain counts of instruments/supplies; ensure infection control.
Assist with room turnover and restocking; anticipate surgical team needs.
Qualifications:
CST certification preferred; no suspended/investigated licenses.
3 years recent acute care OR experience (Level I trauma teaching hospital or equivalent).
Strong scrub experience required; pediatric OR preferred; OB scrub highly desired.
Strong communication sterile technique and OR protocol knowledge.
