The Northern Land Council (NLC) is seeking a motivated Project Support Officer to join our Community Planning & Development (CP&D) team. This is an exciting opportunity to support Traditional Owners and native title groups in planning and delivering community projects that strengthen governance build skills and create long-term benefits across the Top End.

About the Role:

Working under the direction of the Senior CP&D Officer this role provides critical support to community-led projects. You will assist with organising and recording meetings providing logistical and administrative support and helping ensure community groups have the information they need to make decisions based on the principles of Free Prior and Informed Consent. The position also contributes to project compliance data collection reporting and communicationshelping to ensure NLCs CP&D activities are delivered in line with government funding criteria and community aspirations. This role involves close engagement with Traditional Owners native title holders and local stakeholders. Its a chance to contribute to meaningful change and support Aboriginal-led decision making.

What You Will Bring:

Youre an organised and reliable professional with a background in logistics who thrives on supporting projects and building strong relationships. You enjoy working in cross-cultural settings and are committed to ensuring Aboriginal voices are at the centre of planning and development.

In addition you will have:

  • Certificate IV in Business Project Management or Community Development (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong ICT literacy (Microsoft 365 and information management systems)
  • Proven ability to write clear accurate meeting notices agendas and minutes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise across diverse groups
  • Current C Class Drivers Licence and ability to undertake remote travel in manual 4WD vehicles

The CP&D team helps Aboriginal groups drive their own development and achieve their aspirations through community planning governance and project support. As Project Support Officer youll play a vital role in ensuring these projects are delivered effectively while also gaining valuable skills and experience working with Traditional Owners across the Top End.

We offer:

  • Abase salary of $68986per annum plus 15% superannuation and salary sacrificing up to $15900 Meal Entertainment and Holiday Accommodation benefits up to $2650 per year.
  • Other benefits under our Enterprise Agreement include:
    • District allowance of up to $4631 per annum for individuals with dependents and $2539 without dependents.
    • 5 weeks annual leave leaving loading 18 days personal leave;
    • Paid Christmas close down;
    • Upon completion of 12 months of service an Annual airfarewith a net (in hand) value of $317764
