Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
Develops and/or applies statistical methods software and theories in industrial statistics.
Utilizes complex statistical modeling to solve business problems and product development challenges.
Interprets and applies data in complex analyses and explains findings to cross-functional audiences to improve innovation and sustain efforts.
Writes procedures for quality systems tasks that have statistical requirements (for example test method validation design verification process validation)
Participates in reviewing developing and presenting statistics training material.
Supports standard statistical tools in the Diabetes business (for example Minitab)
Maintains proficiency in statistical techniques programming and data management best practices.
Participates in the Global Industrial Statistics Community of Practice supporting alignment on standards and expectations across the company.
Ensure adherence to applicable procedures to ensure quality system compliance and high-quality work.
Understand the various regulations we operate under in the medical device industry and ensure that the statistical methods applied align with regulatory bodies expectations.
Must Have (Minimum Requirements):
To be considered for this role the minimum requirement must be evident on your resume.
Bachelors degree and a minimum of 10 years of experience industrial statistician and or biostatistician
OR
Advanced degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience industrial statistician and or biostatistician
Nice to Have:
Experience with Test Method Validation Design Verification Risk Assessment Reliability Assessment Growth strategies and /or Process Validation
Extensive and recent experience in the following: Statistical software: Minitab SAS JMP and/orR
Statistical methods (in particular: design of experiments acceptance sampling statistical process control measurement systems analysis reliability analysis ANOVA and regression)
Demonstrated ability to communicate (written and verbal) technical content.
MS or PhD degree in Statistics or equivalent
Medical device domain knowledge Experience with Diabetes therapies/products Experience as a Statistician or Biostatistician at Medtronic or othermedical devicecompanies or highly regulated industries with support experience in regulatory body inquiries.
Experience in regulatory compliance guidelines for medical devices (e.g. ISO MDD/MDR CFR)
