Job Description

ANTICIPATED OPENING

School Spring #5359629

Work Year: Twelve (12) Months

Salary: In accordance with the Custodian Collective Bargaining Agreement

Organizational

Relationship or Line

of Authority: Directly responsible to the Director of Facilities and his/her designee.

Statement of Duties:

  • Order organize and maintain PAR (Periodic Automatic Replacement) levels of inventory for electrical plumbing HVAC and other related building supplies for the District.
  • Make frequent and daily trips to purchase supplies from various suppliers as requested.
  • Loading transporting and delivering items (may include heavy equipment) to schools and departments in a safe and timely manner.
  • Deliver and pickup outside maintenance equipment to supplies for maintenance and repair.
  • Abides by all transportation laws maintaining a safe driving record.
  • Assumes responsibility for any other duties as indicated by the Direct of Facilities Superintendent of Schools or his/her designee and policies of the Haverhill School Committee.
  • Reports to work during off hours as needed for snow management (snow prep and removal to include the use of a snow blower) or other emergencies as determined by the Director of Facilities.

Qualifications:

  • Must have and maintain a valid Drivers License.
  • Must have a clean driving record.
  • High School Diploma is required.
  • Must be able to lift 75 pounds.
  • Ability to lift carry or drive heavy items for extended periods of time.
  • Must be proficient in MS Outlook Word and Excel for basic computer use.
  • Must have strong organizational skills.
  • Such alternatives to the aforementioned qualifications as deemed appropriate by the Superintendent of Schools.
