Salary: Starting Salary is 32579 (Level one) rising to 35412 per annum pro rata for part-time

About the Role

We have two full time post available.

As a Personal Advisor you will be working with young people who are leaving or have left care developing plans to help them transition successfully into will provide practical and emotional support giving high quality advice and guidance linking young people with more specialised support where appropriate; enabling them to develop independence skills for life.

Personal Advisors will have case-holding responsibility and support Children in Care and Care Leavers both within and outside of Nottingham City. A commitment to multiagency working to support the progress and safety young people is key to this role. You will be highly organised and a skilled communicator enabling you to build up effective working relationships with a variety of young people from different backgrounds.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  1. Knowledge of Childcare legislation including Leaving Care and Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children.
  2. Commitment to child centred practice and understanding of child protection issues.
  3. Case holding experience.
  4. Able to record efficiently and to keep records up to date and produce concise literate assessments plans and reports.
  5. To understand issues of safeguarding for children young people and vulnerable adults.
  6. Possession of full driving licence access to a vehicle including access to internal pool cars for longer distances (utilising your own car and pool cars you will need business insurance) expectation and willingness to travel both inside and outside the City Council boundary as required.For utilising own car milage allowance is 45p per mile.

You do not need any specific qualification to apply for this opportunity however you must have a caring nurturing compassionate nature with a willingness to give a 100% to the citizens across the city that need your dedication and care.
