Since launching in 2019 our Real Estate team has grown rapidly earning a reputation among brokers for excellence and a solutions-based underwriting approach. Now were entering an exciting new chapter and were looking for a standout Senior Underwriter to play a pivotal role in shaping our next phase of growth.

This is more than just a newly created underwriting role in our team. Its a chance to be a market facing ambassador for Everest driving growth across multiple distribution channels cultivating high value broker relationships and helping shape our strategic direction. Youll be at the forefront of influencing how we engage with clients and expand our footprint in the Real Estate market in 2026 and beyond.

Your Key Responsibilities

• You underwrite and service Real Estate accounts across multiple distribution channels ensuring alignment with Everests underwriting strategy appetite and profitability targets.

• You develop the Real Estate portfolio while maintaining disciplined underwriting practices.

• You cultivate and strengthen relationships with key brokers and clients acting as a market-facing representative of the business.

• You prepare and present quotations and proposals for both new and renewal business.

• You contribute to the evolution of internal systems processes and workflows to enhance operational efficiency.

• You represent the Real Estate team in communications with senior management and cross-functional departments.

• You collaborate with other underwriting teams and departments including Claims Loss Control and Finance.

• You support business development through innovative strategies and by leveraging the Everest network.

• You uphold internal controls and regulatory requirements in all underwriting and administrative activities.

Your Skills & Experience

• You bring proven underwriting experience in UK and European Real Estate programmes including delegated authority binder business.

• You have a recognised market presence and the ability to build and maintain high-value relationships internally and externally.

• You understand the market landscape trends and product offerings in depth.

• You demonstrate advanced analytical and technical skills including expertise in policy wordings and risk assessment.

• You apply sound judgment and business insight in decision-making and risk evaluation.

• You communicate effectively and negotiate confidently influencing senior stakeholders with ease.

• You think strategically identifying opportunities and anticipating market shifts.

• Youre committed to compliance and governance across all underwriting activities.

• Youre passionate about mentoring and developing junior team members.
