Position Summary:
As an Intern youll gain the insights and financial training you need to get your career started. This internship is designed to give you hands-on experience. Youll work alongside some of the best in the industry assisting in the preparation and analysis of financial statements for private equity funds and other departments. As an intern youll participate in several projects. You will be assigned an accounting mentor to help you build on your classroom learning and develop lifelong skills.

  • This is a paid internship opportunity.
  • Work hours are dependent on the students schedule.
  • GPFS requires part-time availability (16-20 hours per week).
  • This internships runs for 12 - 14 weeks. Exact dates discussed at offer.


Responsibilities:

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Perform weekly cash analysis for client accounts.
  • Assist in the preparation of month bank reconciliations.
  • Participate in compiling financial statements for clients.
  • Assist in preparing client and investor reports.
  • Assist in the day to day activities of fund accounting.
  • Special projects as assigned.


Required Education and Experience:

  • Must be a full-time matriculating student in an accounting or related program.
      • GPFS requires that applicants have taken at least the first two courses in their degree program to be considered for the internship.
      • GPA requirements apply.
  • Proficiency with software related products such as Microsoft programs (Excel Word Outlook Teams and OneNote).
